In an effort to expand the catalog of critters that call the worm bin, home, this lesson integrates high definition pictures to the profile of each microorganism.

Method

Take the catalog of the worm bin biota to the next level. As they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. And being able to recognize various microbes by sight will strengthen each student’s ability to manage the worm bins and maintain optimal conditions in the bin.

Using an HDMI microscope and laptop, shoot images of the microorgamisms for the catalog.
