Worm Party
Lesson Overview
Method
It’s not just the anatomy of the various worm species that differentiate them from one another. Their habitat also varies by species. Some worms prefer the loose top organic debris layer in the garden while others tunnel deep into the soil structure.
Map the soil strata from a worm’s perspective. As a class, produce a rendering that shows where epigeic, endogeic, and anecic worms live.
