Thirst Quencher
Lesson Overview
Teach the Teacher
Method
Automation allows a food production operation to scale for max production. Could you imagine watering 5000 starts by hand? What about 10,000 starts! Imagine a completely autonomous self-monitoring watering system.
What functions and controls would it have in the process? How would soil moisture be tested and the proper amount of water calculated and applied? Would it also be able to determine the proper time to administer a dose of nutrients?
Design a set of plans for your system along with a cost analysis to build it in the Lab.
