Lesson Overview

Edible art is popping up in small towns and big cities across the country. In this lesson, students have a chance to conceive, design, and deploy their own edible art installation right in their own community.

Teach the Teacher

Method

Plan an edible art installation for your community that the students can propose to the town council or other governing board. The project could leverage hydroponics or a vacant space that could be planted. Be creative!

The proposal should include artwork of the project, proposed location, costs, installation time, maintenance and a plan for seasonal rotation.
